As part of the Carrickfergus Townscape Heritage Initiative, Number 10 High Street, Carrickfergus was renovated for modern retail and living use under the direction of Stephen Salley of HBK Architects. Archaeological and historical work was undertaken by Dr Paul Logue of HED and Ciara MacManus of Farrimond MacManus ltd. The award-winning works uncovered the history of a building and family going back to the 1400s and preserved features such as 16th – 19th century woodwork and a unique set of 17th century stairs.

In their talk, Dr Paul Logue and Stephen Salley will be discussing the archaeological and architectural aspects of their work on this remarkable heritage project, the renovation of the building and the fascinating findings uncovered along the way.
